Great job on the audio! I think it was when I saw Photon Frogs that I realized how fun it must be doing the sound design on your shorts, all of the sounds you choose are always so abstract and strange, but still fitting. Love em

Butzbo responds:

Thanks, I'm glad I was able to dedicate the last day mostly to audio (specially since I had to completely skip that step on the open ronnd short) . This time there were some "accidents" that ended up 'working'. There's a take with some 'birds' in the backround, and they were going to sound like 'annoying birds', but just as a temporary replacement I put another track of frog sounds, and I think it worked a lot better.

Hey man, great job! you've come a long way in just the past month in terms of style, technical ability, and story telling. Really digging the more impressionistic and abstract stuff going on, both visually and in your story. Gonna be fun to see who comes out on top in our bracket, good luck!

Magnivez responds:

Thanks a ton man, means a lot to hear that from you!

Man, I just love your character designs, posing, and shot choices. Great work all around. Like SpikeVallentine said, the narration over dialogue isn't the best choice, but I didn't mind it all that much since the dialogue was more ambiance/character stuff than story related. Might have been a good idea to mess with the eq to keep it all a bit more separated, though. Or maybe just intercut it

Only other thing I can say is that it might have been nice to give us an extra quarter second on that last shot, feels like that cut comes just barely too quickly. Can't wait to see more from you!

but wait how does the floating head survive without a body

Brewster responds:

Oh wait shit. Disqualified

Man, Piper and Gianni keep making for a wonderful little family! I feel what Gianni wrote about Piper applies to him just as much. Those two really have some talent.

Excellent job, especially working on such a tight deadline, really looking forward to seeing what you do for this next round.

Also, little side note on your original entry, you did a fantastic job of making the piece feel whole even when you were missing a lot of what you wanted in there. Most of the time people who turn in unfinished pieces end up with just the first half done, rather than making a smaller, but coherent, piece. Great work all around.

SpikeVallentine responds:

Thank you Dylan, that's real sweet of you. Yeah! Piper and Gianni! Good cast. :)

Wow, cool that you noticed the two different versions. Yeah man, 5 -10 minutes of 'wrapping up" has so much value. Gotta do my best to make something look like it's finished even though it's not. Cool that you caught that.

Oh geez this is a lot of things and that's ezactly the amount of things I like.

wow is this the long awaited sequel to always sunny in family guy

seriously though, you're probably making the best comedies on newgrounds these days. Fantastic color choice as well, I loved their matching bikes.

Brewster responds:

Thanks dyl youre a sweet sweet boy

I think you're my favorite, just generally speaking

This cartoon is way old 0/5

Been seeing your WIPs for something like a year now on your blog, it's a pleasure to see the piece finally finished!

gzilbalodis responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I do work (no pay)
